Get to know Albariño Tapas & Wine Bar

Albariño is the Galician name for the wine grape grown in Galicia, in northwest Spain, where it is used to make varietal white wines. It is believed to have been brought to Spain by Cluny monks in the twelfth century. Its name "Alba-Riño" means white wine from the Rhine and it has locally been assumed to be a Riesling clone, originating from the Alsace region of France. Pulpo, or octopus, is a signature Galician specialty, traditionally cooked.
